Re-Entry Into the 'Real World' Is Hard

Hello, friends!

My website hasn’t been tended to in a looooong time. There are many reasons for this (Covid lockdown, busy mom of 3 young children, pervasive low-level anxiety about the state of the world etc.) but mostly it’s been general procrastination since I haven’t played any shows since early March 2020. I did about 10 livestream shows for a local homeless shelter from my living room during the spring of 2020 and it was lovely to feel connection with many of you during that time.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve got shows on the calendar for the fall and early winter! We will be adding more dates in the future and I am so excited to get out there and play for you again. I’m looking forward to catching up with you!

For those that follow me on Facebook and Instagram you may have seen that I’m participating in RealWomenRealSongs again this year. We have been writing a song a week since the beginning of the year and I have kept up (mostly) even though I spent the last few busy months up at summer camp. Here is the link for my once-a-week songs on YouTube.

We had a great summer as a family up at camp; the kids were all full summer campers and I got to help teach skin-on-frame canoe building, some songwriting and lead a few canoe trips to boot! Those were very restorative after such a stressful year. Being in nature is where I feel the most alive. I try to take it all in and be in the present knowing that I can take some of that life energy away with me when I go back into my normal life. I may not hear the loon calling here in Ohio but I can notice the life going on around me and nurture the wilderness inside me.
